Is the U.S. Being Colonized By Red China?

chinaby Tom DeWeese
For the past few decades the Communist regime of China has been driving toward world supremacy, both economically and militarily. The regime’s main target has been, and is, the United States of America. China’s plan to grab power has been clever and unprecedented, seeking victory without firing a shot, reducing its targets to mere frogs in a boiling pot.

Pundits and politicians alike, when excusing their strategic dealings with China, are quick to remind their audiences that today’s China is a “centuries old civilization” rich in tradition and ancient religious discipline. A Confucian civilization that is still upset over wrongdoings during the European colonization period.

Such a view is wrong. The China we are confronted with today is nothing like that pre-nineteenth century nation. Since the reign of Mao Tse-tung began in 1949, Communist China, much to the dismay, torture, and death of its own citizens, has been governed by tyrannical thugs, thirsty to expand their dictatorial regime and unrelenting in their hatred of Western Civilization and the United States.

Militarily, China has literally surrounded the US. Once there was a Monroe Doctrine to forbid any foreign power to exert influence in American’s back yard, meaning South, Central and North America. All nations respected that doctrine as America vigorously imposed it. That is until China played on the growing weakness of American foreign policy, as when Jimmy Carter gave away the Panama Canal and scuttled all American bases in one of the most the strategic locations of American defense.  Since then, China has established relationships and bases in several South and Central American nations.

Some Thoughts on an Article V Convention

tyranny
by Tom DeWeese

I’ve written many articles in the past concerning my opposition to a Constitutional Convention (Con Con). I’ve also helped in successful fights in Ohio and Kansas to stop Con Con Resolutions. But recently there is a new twist in the effort to amend the Constitution to preserve freedom. It’s called an Article V Convention of the States. Proponents say it answers my concerns over the dangers of a Con Con, and so many activists have asked me where I stand on this new effort. So here are a few thoughts.

Duncan Introduces Resolution Condemning Common Core

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Jeff Duncan (SC-03) introduced H. Res. 476, which denounces the use of federal coercion to lure states into adopting Common Core academic standards. The companion resolution to Senator Lindsey Graham’s S. Res. 345 also underlines the importance of returning education to the states.

“Common Core is one of the most frequent concerns I hear from parents when I’m traveling across the district. Parents and teachers alike are alarmed by this top-down approach to education that wrongly ties education money for states to the adoption of academic standards that do not fully reflect the values of South Carolina. Beyond the most important Read more of this post

New Tactics to Fight Agenda 21

LibertyladyNew Tactics to Fight Agenda 21

by Tom DeWeese

Over the past few years, as we’ve educated people on Agenda 21 and its UN origins, the natural reaction by concerned citizens and property rights activists has been to rush into city hall and accuse their elected representatives of enforcing international policies on the town. This has, of course, been met with skepticism and ridicule on the part of some of the officials (and encouraged by the NGO stakeholders and planning organizations that stand in the shadows). Today, the promoters of Agenda 21, including ICLEI and the American Planning Association (APA), have worked overtime to paint our movement as crazed conspiracy theorists wearing tin foil hats and hearing voices. Warning to Georgia and Other States: DO NOT FALL FOR THE CONVENTION OF STATES PROPAGANDA

tyrannyThose who are pushing for a Convention of States have sent an “urgent” notice asking for help from people in Georgia. The hearing is today. I only hope that more informed heads prevail and Georgia refuses to do this.

Here are the major reasons why it is simply the wrong thing to do.

1. There is nothing wrong with the Constitution. If you have spoiled meat in the refrigerator, you throw out the meat, not the refrigerator. And putting spoiled meat back in a new refrigerator wouldn’t save the meat.

The upcoming Chavez Film is anti-american propaganda

by Tom DeWeese

A new film entitled “Cesar Chaves, American Hero,” will invade American theaters this Spring. I’m calling on all patriotic Americans to boycott and picket this piece of Hollywood propaganda trash and give Cesar Chavez the place in American history he actually deserves. Cesar Chaves was a left wing con artist of the first order. I expect as much honesty from a film based on Hollywood’s version of his life. Read more of this post

Quality and Content Both Matter in Education–and Washington should stay out of both

At a recent meeting in Nashville, TN, where opponents were gathered for information and planning in the ongoing battle against Common Core, Michael Lotfi, political analyst and advisor, and Associate Director for the Tenth Amendment Center,  appeared as one of the guest speakers. He probably ruffled a few feathers with his speech, and if they paid attention, many listeners should have been shaking their heads at his apparent lack of understanding about Common Core. I both agree and disagree with him—depending on the point. In some respects, I wonder how informed on Common Core he really is. Read more of this post

The Answer to Obamacare–Just Say NO

The Congressional abulia for putting any sort of restrictions on Obama or for saving the country by dismembering, repealing, or defunding his “signature” legislation has been abundantly demonstrated. When a handful of Republicans—the few who believe in abiding by their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution—try to rebel, the entire party is being treated to an Alinskyite ridicule as being a divided party. Those taking advantage of the so called divide completely ignore the fact that the reason for a divide is because the vast majority of Republicans might has well be Democrats or Progressives. They are not standing for Constitutional values; they are not defending the rights of the people; they are not resisting the massive takeovers of government. We who would protect, defend and keep this once great nation for our grandkids are pitifully few, and those legislators who see the truth are equally few.

So yes, call it divided if you would. Until we get rid of ALL the progressives by whatever party stripe they seek to identify themselves, we will be the cooters of the nation. In case you have no experience with cooters, you do NOT want your overgrown lapdog to make the mistake of cornering one in idle play. Cooters—the southern word for snapping turtles– not only bite, they hang on until they tear away the flesh to which their iron tough beaks are attached. A cooter will tear off a human finger before it will let go. So we will continue to expose those who seek to destroy our land; as long as one cooter remains in the waters, the dirty fingers of the politicians will be fair game for our attack. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and the unlikely Blue Carbuncle

blue carbuncle

Politician likewise invent their own truth.

One of the primary complaints of the new Common Core standards for Language arts is that it radically reduces student “facility with language” (in the words of Sandra Stotsky). That is, it systematically removes the study of all kinds of literature, replacing it with “informational text.” A look at the Sherlock Holmes story, “The Blue Carbuncle” will give us an example—just one of many—of the reductive impact on student thinking—on the very ability to think, in fact. The average adult in today’s society already accepts whatever he is told, never glancing beyond the surface or examining the method by which any given story is told. The imposition of Common Core will turn everyone into robotic, work-place laborers with no danger of having an original thought. Read more of this post
