Obama Care, Insurance and Wrong Ideas

So, the dictator in chief has decided that he will just pass his own law and have people keep the insurance plans they are losing while he figures out how to get his master piece actually working.

Let’s just forget for a second that the executive branch has absolutely no power to make laws, or to unmake them, the plethora of executive orders notwithstanding.

Let’s also forget that he does not have the power to force insurance companies to take people back, to recalculate their own finances on the basis of this whole thing going around again in a few months, or to insure that they offer premiums no higher than what they had before–which we already know isn’t going to happen. The Conservatives have ALWAYS had alternatives to massive government control of our health care system

Congressman Jeff Duncan, SC speaks up
Jeff Duncan
Before you even elected me, I said that repealing Obamacare would be one of my top priorities. As a candidate, I spoke out strongly against the president’s healthcare law and put forward my own competing plan for what I thought reform should look like. As your congressman, I went a step further and co-sponsored bills that turned many of those same conservative proposals into legislation, while voting dozens of times to repeal, defund and delay Obamacare.

If you haven’t heard much about conservative alternatives, it’s because they weren’t allowed to be part of the discussion in 2009 when Democrats controlled every branch of government. The debate that took place in Washington wasn’t between the conservative plan and the liberal plan for health care. The debate was between the liberal plan and the very liberal plan. Republicans were shut out of that debate, and when the dust settled, Obamacare passed without a single Republican vote. When Republicans took back the House in 2011, Obamacare was sacred for Democrats, and we were told that anything but extremely minor changes to the law was dead on arrival in the Senate. Language Control In South Carolina Politics

tyranny3

A week ago I attended a meeting with a handful of conservatives which included a former SC senator, a couple of doctors, and four more of us.   The purpose of the meeting was to develop legislative language to reject Obamacare in our state and to suggest viable alternatives that would take care of people with pre-existing conditions, etc.

A few days later, I attended a meeting where a good sized group had assembled to learn more about Common Core Curriculum and what is happening on that front in SC.

There was fruitful discussion and good suggestions for action—some of which is already being done—in both meetings and on both issues. However, both groups also highlighted a third issue which is the real problem in turning our country back to Constitutional behavior and Conservative values. That is, at every turn we were instructed as to what words NOT to use, or we will be considered quacks, radicals, extremists, you name it. This is a travesty, and it’s time those of us who believe in the America we grew up with, and who want to keep our freedom, started putting people in their place for practicing their communist tactics on freedom loving people.

Behavior Modification–American Citizens

tyrannyA week or so ago, we published an article in our Education section in which we explained the concept of behavior modification and talked about how it is being used in our schools.  We are gratified to see we are not alone. Joe Rott who posts on TeaParty Nation sees what is being done to the country via the Affordable Care Act. I almost have to choke to even write ACA. That is nothing but newspeak for government control of who lives, who dies, and who pays to do either.  We wish to share Joe’s article and urge people to respond as he indicated at the end.
